Joel Swanson is an internationally recognized artist whose art illuminates the subtle but powerful ways that language shapes perception. A new body of work titled “The Distance Between Words” was created for New Collection, and I was asked to create the branding for the show. I developed a logo, promotional materials, wall labels and swag items like t-shirts and totes. The goal was to create something that was conceptually aligned with Joel’s work, while not competing with it.
